Akshaya Institute of Technology located in Tumkur, Karnataka was established in 2009 and since its inception has established itself as one of the premier institutions of India. AIT Tumkur is one of the popular engineering colleges in Karnataka offering technical education in various branches of engineering. All courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

The college was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University Belagavi. AIT Tumkur offers engineering programmes at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
