Al-Azhar College of Pharmacy, Perumpillichira, started in 2018 and is a new feather in the cap of pharmaceutical education in Kerala, India. This affiliated college is situated in Idukki district and holds recognition from Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to maintain the standard of education course as per PCI. The chemical institute occupies a small area of 2,58 acres thus allowing for proper dwelling by the students. The college enrolment 88 numbers of students in total and the faculty number is 13 and hence the student faculty ratio is perfect for good education.

This college has collected a variety of facilities aimed at improving the learning and personal development process of students. The library which has all types of print and electronic resources available inclusive of full time W- tells us that learning extends beyond the classroom. For sports and games the campus offers a neatly built gym, available playing fields which include a large leveled ground for Football, Volleyball, and Cricket, a separate Indoor court for Badminton. The college boasts a vibrant sporting culture with the college-faculty recognized through students’ performances in both university and state championships.

The Al-Azhar College of Pharmacy has two full time courses within the field of pharmacy. B.Pharma is the course that takes four years to complete while D.Pharma is a course that will take two years. These programs aim at offering the students with adequate exposure and skills as pertains pharmaceutical sciences.
