Sciences or Bachelor of Sciences in Medical Laboratory Sciences is an undergraduate program of 3-year duration (6 semesters) offered at Amritsar Pharmacy College- a Top Pharmacy College in Punjab. Medical Lab. Sciences is also called as Clinical Laboratory Science which is an allied health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the diseases using clinical laboratory tests. During the course, these tests help the students to detect, diagnose and treat diseases. It also deals with the collection of information needed to sample, test, report, and document the investigations.
Eligibility Criteria
For 3-Year Degree
All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and either Mathematics or Biology from recognized Board / University / Council or 10+2 with the vocational course in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Laboratory Technology with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.
For a 3-year degree (Lateral Entry):
Those candidates who have passed Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences or Pharmacy from a recognized Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh, or such examination from any other equivalent/recognized State Board of Technical Education with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.
Admission Details
Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) possesses its own Scholarship cum Entrance Exam i.e. AGC NEST to initiate its admission process. Through this test, the students get an opportunity to earn up to 1.5 Lac off on the total academic fee.
