Amrutha Ayurvedic Medical College, Chitradurga, Karnataka, started its journey in the stream of Ayurvedic education in the year 1996. This is an affiliated college, approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), and is an emblem for practicing the ancient Ayurveda of India. Provided with an intake capacity of 60 students per year, the BAMS course has been framed in a manner that it churns out well-qualified Ayurvedic physicians who can synergise global medical practice with Ayurvedic principles.

The admission to Amrutha Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital does not involve any complications, and the admission is granted strictly on merit. Any student who wishes to pursue BAMS has to sit for the NEET examination and pass it for him/her to pursue the BAMS course. The college follows the guidelines of the admitting regulatory agency for admission, although since NEET results, the college admission is conducted mostly in the second half of the year.
