About Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chittoor
Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Chittoor was established in 2015 in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The institute is run by Apollo Hospitals Education and Research Foundation. AIMS Chittoor offers MBBS, MD and MS programmes. The total course duration is 5 years and six months including one year compulsory rotating internship.
All the programmes at AIMSR Chittor are approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The institute is affiliated with the Dr YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. The admission is based on an entrance examination. For MBBS, NEET UG is required. For MD and MS, NEET PG is required.
The institute offers various facilities to its students. The Apollo Institute Chittoor has a spacious and well equipped library housed in a separate block. The institute runs approx 900-bed Chittoor Government District Hospital.
