Aryabhatta Group of Institutes at Barnala, Punjab was established in 2009 and is an affliated college. Located in a 10.54 acre plot, this institute has a wide repertoire of technical and management education courses. Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE, New Delhi, the strength of the student in the institute has been fixed 150 and the strength of the faculties at present is 28 members. Aryabhatta Group of Institutes comprises five courses in two degrees majoring in the engineering and management fields. This means that The Institute has equipped itself with modern facilities that support quality education and a strong curriculum that will prepare learners for the modern job market.

The institute has many facilities of great importance mainly for the purpose of improving the learning process of students. Among the special facilities of the campus there are conveniently equipped and clean separate hostels for boys and girls to ensure comfortable living away from home. Student health is accorded high priority and a medical center is provided to attend to the students’ ailment throughout their course. The Aryabhatta Group of Institutes currently provides 5 courses which are all full time. B.Tech offered at the institute are CS & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and an MBA program. Like most course offerings in this institution, each of these programs has received an approval to admit 30 students and so the total number of students offered in the programmes is 150. Through its course structure, the institute has raised the bar in technical education to fulfill emerging needs of the field.

Aryabhatta Group of Institutes accepts candidates through the criteria laid down by the PTU as a general admission process. For B.Tech programs, admissions are based on CET conducted by PT, Jalandhar During the admission process the college offers General Management and Industrial Management and other twenty colleges offer fifty specializations of B.Tech programmes. The institute also has the management quota, which takes 33% of the total intake of students at the college. For these seats, the requirements are All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) ranks or marks of the 10+2 Non-Medical stream. The MBA program admissions are geared on the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) held by the All India Management Association for management quota, and the state level Management Entrance Test (MET) for state quota. Engineering courses have JEE Main whiles MBA has been centralised with CAT as the admission requirement of the institute.
