About AS College of Education, Khanna
As college of education Khanna is an affiliated college founded in the year 2007, located at Kalal Majra, Samrala Road, Khanna, Ludhiana, Punjab. It is recognised by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Approved National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located on a 5 acre land, it provides only one full time programme of B.Ed with an approved strength of one hundred students. AS College of Education currently has 121 students and 11 faculty members which makes our class sizes small and conducive for learning.
The institute has some of the facilities that are crucial to the learning process of the students. The computerized library has over 5287 books, encyclopedia, journals, periodicals, magazines and educational VCDs. It provides accommodation that allows over 30 students to sit at once and an office space where the staff can study. The college has a Health and Sports room fully equipped with different sporting equipment, and to achieve this the different yearly functions such as sporting activities. In the area of technological development there is comfortably designed Computer cum Information Technology (IT) Lab with multimedia computers. A Language Laboratory with modern equipment thousand facilitated from Wordsworth assist students in their communication skills, accent training and phonetics.
