Ashvin College of Pharmacy is a new pharmacy college in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state that was established in 2019, focusing only on education in the pharmaceutical sciences. This affiliated college is situated in Manchi Hill, Sangamner Taluka, and it works under the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The entire campus extends to an area of 3 acres, which is suitable for learning within the course of pharmacy. The college has 11 faculty members to deliver quality education in pharmaceutical sciences. At present, the institute has only two courses, B.Pharma and D.Pharma. B. Pharma has been approved for 60 enrolments a year, which shows the institute’s concern for student-faculty ratio.
Ashvin College of Pharmacy is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere, for B.Pharm and with MSBTE, Mumbai, for D.Pharm. Ashvin College of Pharmacy has all the amenities to facilitate learning for the students and also the facilities to make them healthy. First aid facilities are provided by a health centre, which makes it easy for students to receive basic first aid services within the compound. The auditorium is used for programmes, seminars, and other co-curricular activities, displaying the students' achievements. The institution boasts of an excellent IT system that has equipped students with relevant technology in the modern world, which is important in learning pharmacy. There is a cafeteria to ensure all students and staff get their dietary needs met, and there are guest rooms for the faculty who come to visit or their families. The college also offers transport services that help in the transport of students and staff to the college. In addition, enough space for the provision of parking lots for faculty, staff, and students will facilitate convenience for all the campus users.
As of now, Ashvin College of Pharmacy has only two courses in its curriculum, the B.Pharma and D.Pharma. The B.Pharm programme is a full-time undergraduate degree of four years’ duration to give the students a broad, multifaceted base of pharmaceutical sciences. It has an approved capacity of 60 students for intake with a view to promoting effective student-instructor contact hours.
