Ayira Vaisya College of Education is a private affiliated college which was started in 2008, is situated at Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu. It is a co-education college that has been recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to promote quality teacher education. Located in a 5-acre campus, the college provides a B.Ed program. Currently, the college has 13 faculties for 152 enrolled students, enabling the college to establish and maintain a noble student-teacher ratio, which enhances learning conditions.

It is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU), Chennai, and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college offers a full-time, two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program with an approved intake capacity of 100 students. The Ayira Vaisya College of Education provides students with facilities that can be used by them in their academic activities or in co-curricular activities. Its sports facilities consist of play fields for football, cricket, hockey, tennis, basketball, handball and badminton/ shuttle cock. The college has an auditorium which can be used for conducting events or seminars, or convening meetings, and contributes to the educational process. It provides books, journals and other reference materials for the students, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., which has the capacity to accommodate a maximum of fifty students at a time. If there are examinations ongoing, the library opens until holidays to show the institution's concern for the students.

Ayira Vaisya College of Education has only one course, which is the Bachelor of Education, also known as the B.Ed course. This is a full-time two-year course in elementary teachers’ training and has an approved intake capacity of 100 students. This plan of study is intended to provide students with knowledge and the skills needed in the teaching profession in accordance with the purpose of the B.Ed. program. 

The selections are made based on marks secured in the qualifying exam and/or entrance test, depending on the availability of facilities for conducting the test at Ayira Vaisya College of Education. Like many other colleges in India, the college also maintains the admission guidelines and follows the standards set by the state government, the  Union Territory Administration, and the college’s affiliated university.
