B J Medical College, Ahmedabad was established in the year 1946 and formerly it was known as B. J. Medical School. The institute got affiliated to Bombay University. Later on in the year 1951, for its undergraduate courses, the college got affiliated to Gujarat University and in 1956 it got affiliated to Gujarat University for its postgraduate courses. B J Medical College, Ahmedabad is a centre for the National Board of Medical Examinations. Regional Family Planning Centre, Government Dental College and Hospital, College of Nursing, The Voluntary Blood Bank and Government Physiotherapy College are the institution present inside the campus of the college that provides facilities to the residence of Gujrat. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students.

The construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot, Gujarat, is not yet complete. It is expected to finish by October 2022. So, there is no intel on the college.
B.J. Medical College and Civil hospital is one of the prestigious institutes. The tuition fee is 25000INR which is quite affordable. The syllabus was recently updated. The faculties are brilliant, well-experienced and helpful. There are internals and prelims and the final University exams. The college also has a good focus on research. The infrastructure and facilities are good.

cut off for st candidate in neet 2020 bj medical college Ahmedabad

In 2019 a candidate with marks 545 belonging to ST category secured seat in BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad under 15% AIQ and a candidate belonging to ST category with 379 marks secured seat in the same under 85% state quota. The cut off in 2020 is subjected to change and it depends on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc. So it is always safe to score 10-20 marks above the previous year cut off.

In neet 2019, 610 marks was the lowest marks that was required for general category for getting a mbbs seat in B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad under Gujarat state quota
