BGS College of Engineering and Technology, Bengaluru, is a co-educational college, which was set up in 1974 in the capital city of Karnataka, India. Located near Mahalakshmi Metro Station, the college makes sure that the students traveling from different parts of Bengaluru has ease. It was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which guarantees good quality education in engineering streams. The college offers a caring environment for the 20 highly qualified teaching staff at BGS College of Engineering and Technology. The college provides five BE courses based on the new demands of the technology industry.

BGS College of Engineering and Technology has put in place modern facilities that can support the academic needs of the students enrolled in the college. The library is a strong point of the institution with over 3400 volumes of books in over 100 titles’ catalogued texts and also have 30 national & international journals, 10 magazines & 6 newspapers. The fully automated library with OPAC and BCM provide access to the resources. The college also provides well equipped laboratory for practical learning as well as a sufficient IT facilities. Amenities at the campus include boys and girls hostel which has a seating capacity of 300 students each and facilities like RO Mineral water, laundry service, internet connection, 24 hours security. A modern auditorium seating an audience of one thousand people is available and is used every now and then for various academic and cultural ceremonies.

BGS College of Engineering and Technology provides full time five undergraduate engineering degrees. These are BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science,and  Computer Science and Design. Every programme has an approved capacity of admitting sixty students and therefore a yearly admission capacity of three hundred students for all courses. All the programmes offered are four-year full time courses, which aims at training students to be professionals with adequate knowledge and practical experience to meet the challenges within their areas of specialty.

The admissions in BGS College of Engineering and Technology are given mostly depending on the entrance exams. For admitting students, the college considers scores from a variety of exams such as the JEE Main, as well as the KCET. For management quota admissions, students have to write any one of these entrance tests. The college has laid down a policy standardisation on its admission process for its engineering courses.
