Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain Ayurvedic Medical College, PG Centre and Hospital, Gadag was set up in 1992 and is recognised for Ayurvedic studies and treatment. This affiliated college is located in Gajendragad, Gadag, Karnataka, and it is a spacious college with a 12-acre land site. In order to determine the number of students each institute takes and the number of faculties they employ, it was necessary to consolidate their data on employed courses down to the number of programmes they provide: The total number of courses in the institute is 5; the total student enrolment is 221, and the total of full-time faculties is 37. This is a co-educational institute that offers a cosmopolitan learning atmosphere to such students. It offers undergraduates and postgraduates in Shalya Tantra, Rasa Shastra, Bhaishajya Kalpana, Kayachikitsa, and Panchakarma, which are the branches of Ayurveda.
It has put in place several amenities that help meet the college needs of students in their academics and development. A first-aid-equipped health centre for the students provides them protection. As a knowledge centre situated in the Lugoj University of Technology, the library boasts over a dozen thousand books on various fields. The institution also offers modern information technology that enables it to cope with developing technologies.
In a bid to achieve the goals of developmental goals, the college has made available basic indoor and outdoor sports amenities for the learners. luxurious laboratories for different faculties, which increase practical knowledge. Co-ed hostels are available to students to offer a comfortable and safe stay; boys and girls hostels are provided for the students. The college also possesses an auditorium for any occasion with seminars, a gym for people interested in exercising, and a cafeteria for food breaks. There is a guest house for the staying of guest faculty members and students’ relatives.
Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, an affiliated College of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, has a total of five full-time courses. These are one undergraduate programme: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and four postgraduate programmes: Doctor of Medicine (Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana), Doctor of Medicine (Kayachikitsa), Doctor of Medicine (Panchakarma), and Master of Surgery (Shalya Tantra). The number of intakes approved for all the courses is 80 seats.
Admission of candidates to different programmes offered at Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain Ayurvedic Medical College is based on the following admission process.
Regarding the BAMS programme, 60 seats in total, the contenders have to clear the related entrance tests. Possibly, the admission to PG programmes with five seats each is different and could include an entrance test and merit based on the previous BAMS result.
