Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Physical Education, Pune (BVDUCPE), is a well-established institute that was started in the year 1994. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University’s Constituent College is situated in Dhankawadi, Pune, which is especially for physical education. The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is equipped with a centre of excellence in physical education. BVDUCPE covers an area of 0.4877 acres; it has a total enrolment of 315 students and employs 9 faculty members. This institute provides 4 degrees, Bachelors, Masters, M.Phil and PhD and the major courses are on physical education and sports science. 

For the purpose of complementing the teaching process of its students, BVDUCPE offers several amenities. The college has all the necessary labs such as Health Education, Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Educational Technology & Media Lab, Psychology Lab, etc. Most conspicuous as an information centre, it boasts more than five thousand, two hundred and twenty books, 13 educational journal subscriptions, and 20 encyclopedias. Its reading room accommodates 50 students. For the physical development of the students, sports facilities and a gymnasium are avails. The institution provides different hostel facilities for both male and female students. There is also the student cafeteria, health centre with first aid facilities and a fully equipped auditorium for events and seminar performances. Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Physical Education, Pune, established in 1994, is a constituent college of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune—a university recognised under Section 3 of the UGC Act. It provides almost all courses in physical education for different classes. BVDUCPE offers 4 courses are Bachelor's in Physical Education (B.P.Ed), an M.P.Ed, an  M.Phil in Physical Education and a Ph.D in Physical Education. The total student strength of the aforementioned programmes is 315, where 100 seats are kept for B.P.Ed, 40 for M.P.Ed and 15 for M.Phil Physical Education. These are courses that underwent an accreditation process, which aims to give the students mastery of various aspects of physical education and sports sciences.
