BBEC Kokrajhar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar, is one of the well-known Engineering Colleges established in 2008. This affiliated college is located in Kokrajhar, Assam. It has carved out a significant area of its own in the field of technical education. Spread over 80.85 acres, this campus has got the approval from the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, with the motto of imparting quality education and maintaining standards at par with the national level. The college currently has a total enrolment of 529 students, with a faculty strength of 11, and offers four specialized engineering programs under one degree.

BBEC Kokrajhar has many modern facilities designed to provide students with an enriching learning experience. The library of the college is well-maintained, with an extensive collection of books and excellent study spaces available for students and faculty alike. Laboratories for every department are state-of-the-art, enabling students to have practical work in their respective fields of study. The college also has a newly installed Computer Centre with high-speed NKN Internet connectivity, providing a tech-savvy environment. Extracurricular activities at the BBEC Kokrajhar include an auditorium for events and seminars, a well-maintained cafeteria, sports facilities for the physical well-being of the students, and a college gym promoting a healthy lifestyle for students.

The academic programs offered at BBEC Kokrajhar include four full-time BE courses, each for four years. These comprise the BE course in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The intake for each course is equal and hence a total of 240 seats for all the courses it offers. This enables the college to maintain quality education while being focussed on some of the main streams of engineering.

The admission process in BBEC Kokrajhar is mainly conducted through the Assam Combined Entrance Examination conducted by ASTU. The latter provides a platform through which deserving candidates from any part of the state could avail an opportunity for admission. The Assam CEE takes place once every year, and the dates are announced by ASTU.
