The Lalpur Campus of the Birla Institute of Technology MESRA was started in 1955 is an esteemed educational institution situated in the state of Jharkhand in India. This constituent college accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education provides almost every programme in its field. Spread over 7 acres, the institute conducts education for 1,726 students and is staffed with 3 faculties. The Lalpur Campus features as a mixed institution so as to encourage and enhance diversity between sexes. Currently the institute offers 4 degree programmes and 4 distinct courses, concentrating on management and computer applications at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level.
BIT Mesra Lalpur Campus offers students ample of facilities in all fields for their overall development. Campus has a fully equipped library so that students can get full knowledge and study materials that they need. A contemporary and efficient IT provision helps the students to remain connected and they get to use the most advanced technology. The institute also has well equipped laboratories to enable practical oriented instructions and operational activities. For the physically inclined, there are sports facilities within the compound the University offers for use. Sustainable living is embraced with a health facility capable of dealing with emergencies. Lalpur Campus own limited number of full time courses selected discipline wise but in Rawalpindi Campus the offered programmes are comprehensive and full decade educational courses. At present the institute imparts two under graduate programmes- three year full-time programmes- BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications). Among the post graduate programmes, the campus has formulated a two-year Master in Computer Applications (MCA) and two years Master in Business Administration (MBA).

Library is very good here and we get space to study without any noise and disturbance. Although it is not a very big campus. All the necessary and basic facilities available in lab. Only problem is we don't have hostels.

There is no such thing like infrastructure, I don't even see anything over there. It doesn't have at least basics things like grounds or canteen or even proper place to sit. Classes over here are average and there are two labs which are better than anything.

Classes over here are okay seems like government school and there are two labs which are better than everything. I am not at all happy with the infrastructure.
