The Cambridge Institute of Technology was founded in 2001. The Cambridge Trust of India, a registered body under the Indian Trust Act, promoted the institute. Today, the institute is one of the country's premier engineering institutes, having grown and flourished quickly since its inception. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi approves the institute, which is affiliated with the Jharkhand University of Technology, a government of Jharkhand organisation. The institute's sprawling campus is surrounded by hillocks, providing a picturesque natural environment ideal for academic pursuits.
