Capital Academy of Nursing, formerly known as Sri Jagannath Institute of Medical Science and Research, is a private college established in 2009. It is permitted by the Government of Odisha, Health and Family Welfare Department, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC, New Delhi). Capital Academy of Nursing Bhubaneswar offers a total of 7 courses in the Sciences and Medical Sciences disciplines. 

Capital Academy of Nursing is affiliated with Utkal University Bhubaneswar. Courses available include BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, and MSc. To be eligible for the BSc Nursing course, students need to have completed their 10+2 examination with PCB subjects from a recognised institute in India. For Post Basic BSc Nursing, candidates require a GNM qualification. Similarly, for the MSc course, students require a BSc Nursing/Post Basic BSc Nursing qualification from a recognised institute in India.

Admissions are offered based on the performance of the candidates in the OJEE examination conducted by the Government of Odisha, followed by a central counselling process.
