About CFTI Chennai
Central Footwear Training Institute Chennai was established in 1957 with the assistance of the Ford Foundation. Central Footwear Training Centre was renamed as Central Footwear Training Institute (CFTI) Chennai and granted autonomous status under the Government of India’s Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to improve its operational flexibility. The institute was also modernised with assistance from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under the National Leather Development Programme.
Central Footwear Training Institute Chennai offers diploma programmes. The courses include Post-Diploma in Footwear Technology and PGD Footwear Technology.
