Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College, popularly known as CREC, was established in the year 2004 at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The campus is spread over 17.2 acres and has a varied range of programmes in Engineering and Management. The institution is autonomous and NAAC Accredited with approval from AICTE. With a enrolment of 1,925 students and a faculty of 195, the ideal student-teacher ratio is maintained at CREC. It offers 19 courses leading to 5 different degrees, with a specialisation in various streams of Engineering, Computer Science, and Management Studies.

CREC has most-modern infrastructure for implementing its academic programmes. It has a central library of 3,977 square meters with a collection of 13,152 titles and 90,780 volumes; it subscribes to 96 national and 1,369 international journals. Students are provided online access to various renowned databases such as IEEE, ASME, AICE, and DELNET. On the other hand, its IT infrastructure has been a great attraction because the institution is equipped with a high-speed campus-wide network interlinking 940 systems, while 100 Mbps of leased line internet connectivity is also available. For an over-all development, CREC provides excellent sports facilities, including a cricket ground, basketball court, volleyball courts, and indoor games facilities. The college also maintains a well-equipped gymnasium and a health centre with first-aid facilities.

The programs offered consist of 11 undergraduate programmes, 7 postgraduate programmes, and 1 diploma programme. Some of the top courses include B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and newly introduced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. At the postgraduate level, CREC offers specialised courses in M.Tech in VLSI System Design, and Digital Electronics and Communication Systems, besides MBA and MCA courses.

The admissions at CREC will be mainly on a merit basis and as per guidelines issued by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. Undergraduate Engineering: Admissions take place through the AP EAMCET undergraduate level (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test). Postgraduate: The institute admits students for MBA and MCA through the APICET conducted by the convenor, APSche. Admission in M.Tech is made based on GATE. The institute also offers direct admission at this college based on intermediate or equivalent examination marks, which are subject to the availability of seats.
