    About CDCRI Rajnandgaon

    Chhattisgarh Dental College and Research Institute was established in the year 2002 in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, as one of the highly known dental education institutions in this sub-continent. This is a co-education institute sprawled over an area of 11.47 acres, with an affiliated college accredited by NAAC and approved by DCI. CDCRI offers 9 courses in 2 degrees with a total enrolment capacity of 339 and a faculty strength of 144. 

    CDCRI has several facilities to improve the students' learning experience:=. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls, accommodating 200 and 400 students respectively in well-furnished rooms. There is a health centre in the campus itself with first-aid facilities. The library occupies an area of 7000 sq. ft. with more than 3500 books and 25 International and 18 National dental journals, along with audio-visuals and sports facilities. There is IT infrastructure and a spacious auditorium where various events and seminars take place. The campus also includes a vegetarian mess and canteen. A newly constructed mess building with ultra-modern kitchen facilities and separate student and staff dining halls has also been provided.

    The institute provides 19 programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The BDS programme has an intake of 100, while various MDS specialisations are available with a 2-3 seat intake per specialisation. These include Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Paedodontics, and Oral Pathology. All programmes are complete time wherein the BDS course runs for 5 years and MDS courses for 3 years.

    The admission process occurring in CDCRI is majorly based on national-level entrance examinations. For the BDS programme, the students have to appear for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG), and for MDS programmes, it is the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS).

Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects and English as a core subject.

    CDCRI MDS Admission Process

    CDCRI offers various specialisations in its Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), with courses lasting 3 years each. The MDS programmes offered are in Oral Medicine and Radiology, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Periodontology, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Oral Pathology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Each specialisation has an intake of 2-3 seats. Admission to the programme will be based on the NEET-MDS score of the candidate. Eligible candidates should have completed their BDS degree from a recognized institution.
