Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering (KMSME) at Cochin University of Science and Technology, KMSME was set up in 2003 in Ernakulam, Kerala. This affiliated college, located in CUSAT complex, is especially devoted to providing marine engineering education. Pioneering a cause, KMSME has 11 committed teaching professionals to provide an exclusive B.Tech programme in Marine Engineering. Despite the fact that the school is comparatively small; it offers appropriate conditions for the students who plan to become marine engineers and face some difficulties in the maritime field.

This programme has an approved enrolment capacity of 80 students and fits well in the institutions goal of offering quality education in a specialised area. Its main aims are to develop adequate knowledge and skills that will enable the successful implementation of the individual’s professional activity in the sphere of maritime industry, based on a combination of academic content and operating experience.
