Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Management shall be for a minimum duration of two years, excluding coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, offered by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

Eligibility Criteria

"The following are eligible to seek admission to the Ph.D. programme: Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have completed: A 1-year/2-semester Master's degree programme (after 4 year undergraduatedegree)with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ' B' in the UGC10- pointscale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system isfollowed) or anequivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accreditedby an Assessment andAccreditation Agency which is approved, recognized orauthorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its homecountry or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assurequality and standards of educational institutions. A 2-year/4-semester Master’s degree programme, with the same conditions as in subclause 2.1.1 above; A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree with Research should have a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10."

Admission Details

The applications of the eligible candidates shall be processed by Committees constituted by the Director (Research) for selection. Such Committees shall screen the applications as per the eligibility norms and be responsible for the conduct of tests and interviews for the eligible candidates. Based on the performance in the test and interview, the successful candidates shall be short-listed by the above Committees.
