The College of Avian Sciences and Management, Thiruvazhamkunnu which was established in 2013, is a constituent college at Palakkad, Kerala. This is an institutional based specialised university that is dedicated to avian sciences and management that caters for students that have a passion for poultry business. Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is the parent institute of this college, which gives a good base of theoretical and practical knowledge. 

Facilities at the College of Avian Sciences and Management compound include state of the art structures in order to complement the students. Accommodation facilities available in the college are well fitted hostels for the boys and girls respectively to enhance their comfort. The boys’ hostel has a capacity of 48 students and, for the girls, the hostel is situated in the Farmers Training Centre on the compound. Facilities provided by both the hostels include TV rooms, indoor games and facility to study. College library being newly one; it has try to build up collection of books and other resources of poultry, avian science and management studies. In terms of practical technology, the institution offers an air conditioned computer laboratory fitted with 27 computers and high speed internet connection. Students they also have own air-conditioned seminar hall, sports facilities such as multipurpose playgrounds/game courts and student canteen as well as students food facility.

The College of Avian Sciences and Management currently offers one specialised undergraduate programme: offer B.Sc. in Poultry Production and Business Management. Poultry Science and Technology The course is a full time course which takes for three years to complete and equip the students with knowledge and skills of the poultry industry. Currently the programme has an approved capacity of 50 students to ensure quality learning environment in class. The curriculum covers both a rich set of theories and real-world applications means the students can start successful careers in one of the thriving segments of the poultry industry.
