College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University, Imphal Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Girls hostel has 68 rooms with a total capacity for 160 occupants. Each room is provided with beds, tables, and chairs. It also has a common room, kitchen, dining, library, music room, and fitness-cum-Indoor Sports room. The mess is maintained by the students, and weekly menu is decided by the Mess-In-charge in discussion with students. The students are given good quality food, and opportunities to organize special functions/get-togethers within the hostel. Students are well-disciplined and they follow the time schedule strictly. Students are allowed to go to the local market (with prior permission) once in a week for which vehicle is provided by the college. They are also permitted to attend religious ceremonies on Sundays. All the hostellers are encouraged to participate in the maintenance of the nutritional kitchen garden within the hostel premises.

The College Library has a wide range of collections on various subjects which at present stands at a total of 6877. Books and other reading materials are well stocked and have wide variety of collections in its disposal. In addition to the books, it also has sufficient numbers of Journals and periodicals subscription (National and International) to cater to the needs of the user community. At present Library can accommodate 60 users at one time in our reading hall. College Library is connected to the campus Wi-Fi network and at the same time a separate dedicated line is provided for CeRA online journals. With respect to implementation of latest Technology and software in Library Science our College library is using KOHA Library software where in all the database entries has been completed.  

The college has one field in which outdoor activities are held during the college week. Though, college does not have any indoor stadium or sports hall, there are adequate facilities for indoor games in the hostel. A music room is also set up in the hostel along with a good music system used for recreational purposes.
