DAV College Bathinda is one of the premier educational institutions in Punjab, India founded in 1969. This co-educational college occupies a bargain plot of 21 Acres area and is home to several programs. Recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for its consistent quality programs, DAV College, Bathinda is an affiliated college. The total student enrolment is 2998 and the total number of faculty members is 40 then the college has a good environment for learning. 

The college has a variety of amenities to improve the feel and functioning of the institution. The college library is well-outfitted to standard and possesses over 36,600 books for all the subjects taught in the college. The library also comprises a different reading hall that offers a comfortable area for learning for the students. The college places a strong emphasis on the physical health of its community, with a facility acting as both a pharmacy and a clinic. Remote health personnel are available to make a scheduled trip to the college when receiving services from students and staff. The campus also includes a seminar hall which is very large to accommodate one hundred and fifty students complete with Information Communication Technology facilities for academic seminars, conferences and meetings among students, lecturers and other stakeholders.

A wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs are being offered by the DAV College, Bathinda. Full-time programmes offered are 19 which include degree courses and postgraduate diplomas. Among the well-known undergraduate programs are BA,  B.Sc Medical & Non-Medical, B.Com, BCA, BBA and B.Com (Hons). At the postgraduate level, the college offers MA programme in English, History, Political Science and Punjabi M.Com, M.Sc It programme in information technology, Mathematics and M.Sc in Chemistry. The college also has some professional courses such as PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications); and DCA (Diploma in Computer Applications).
