DAV Post Graduate College, Varanasi was established in 1938. The college is affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh and has contributed so much in higher education for more than eight decades. The institution offers full-time courses in 23 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes besides doctoral programmes. DAV Post Graduate College, Varanasi, is a very reputed college in Uttar Pradesh State University. The admission process at DAV PG College is a straightforward, merit-based, and national level entrance examination to seek out deserving candidates.

Degree wise Admission Process
BA, B.Com, and BA Social Science: Selection on these undergraduate programs is determined by the performance of the candidate in the CUET UG examination. Various specializations are offered under these three degrees. Candidates should have completed their 10+2 education and also satisfy the eligibility criteria by qualifying in the CUET UG to be eligible for admission.
M.Com: Admission to the M.Com program depends on the CUET PG examination. So, candidates with a bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field are eligible to apply. The selection is based on the performance of the applicant in the entrance test.
MA Programs: DAV PG College has a number of different MA programs including English, Hindi, Economics, History, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy, and Sanskrit. Admission to these M.A. programs will also be granted on the basis of CUET PG examination. The candidates must have attained their bachelor's degree in the relevant subject or in a related field to be eligible.
Ph.D. Programs: The college has a variety of disciplines that fall under doctoral programs such as Economics, History, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Commerce, English, Hindi, and AIHC and Archaeology. Admission details are not given for Ph.D. programs, but most likely the process is with a separate entrance exam and/or an interview conducted by the college or the university for affiliation.
