Deoghar College, Deoghar, is one among the oldest educational institutions in the state of Jharkhand, India. The college caters to a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in different disciplines. The system of admission into Deoghar College is, however, built-in to offer all students an equal opportunity to display their talents and merit. Most of the programs offered in Deoghar College are based on the merit system for admission. The main criterion of qualifying for admission in the majority of programs is the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2 for undergraduate programs and bachelor's degree for postgraduate programs). Degree wise Admission Process

BA: The Bachelor of Arts curriculum offered by Deoghar College encompasses several specializations. Admission is dependent on the merit list that is prepared from performance in the 10+2 examination. Accordingly, students who have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) can apply from a recognized board.

B.Sc: The institution offers Bachelor of Science programs in different subjects. Admission into B.Sc courses is entirely merit based. B.Sc courses consider the marks secured in the 10+2 examination and are applicable to students who have studied science subjects. Students of a science stream in higher secondary education can carry out applications.

BCA (Self-Finance): In the admission to Bachelor of Computer Applications, the Institution considers the marks obtained in 10+2 examination. All students from Science, Commerce, or Arts stream may apply however preference is given to those who have mathematics. 

BBA (Self-Finance): Admission to Bachelor of Business administration is done through merit prepared from performances in 10+2 examinations score. Any stream can apply to this program.

LLB (Self-Finance): For Bachelor of Laws, the candidate has to fulfill eligibility criteria put forth by Bar Council of India. The candidate must have passed graduation with any discipline and also must have attained minimum percentage.

MA: The college provides a number of subjects to be part of a Master of Arts program, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, History, Philosophy, Economics, and Political Science among them. Admissions to MA programs are subject to the marks obtained in the related bachelor's degree. Graduates from any recognized university can apply, but priority might be given to candidates with bachelor's degree qualifications in the same or related subject.

M.Sc: The college also offers Master of Science programs in Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Zoology. Admission to MSc courses is merit-based and depends upon the marks scored in the corresponding bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in either the respective or related discipline.
