The Department of Law, Barkatullah University, Bhopal was established in 1970, is an esteemed constituent college for legal education. The esteemed institution is situated in the middle of the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and boasts of a 400 acre of campus. The department, recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), serves to provide the necessary laws for the legal personnel. The management of the department is with two members of the faculty—this prepares the institution to deliver personalised education to the students enrolled in the programme. The institution provides 4 specific course programmes and covers numerous special fields in the sphere of law, thus providing an extensive legal education for its learners.

Department of Law has a 4 full time courses for students who need to get Law education at different levels. The courses offered are an integrated five year’s BA LLB (Hons), two years LLM (Master of Laws), six years Ph.D. in Law and three years LLD (Doctor of Laws). These courses are meant to equip students with the right knowledge and working understanding of different aspects of law.
