The college has master facilities of 183 and has 41 courses in total for 14 degrees. DSCAS is much popular for its selective area of operation in arts, science, and commerce streams, for girls alone.

The college offers a set of essentials that aims at improving the learning experience of learners. The campus holds a library formed of more than 4,268 reference books, air-conditioned reading facilities, and the e-journals. For accommodation, the DSCAS currently provides a hostel for girl students. The college is committed to health care by having a medical centre for first aid services to its members. Amenities have been provided for students to make necessary exercise and body build up. The campus has state of the art of technological requirements and connectivity, establishing a technologically advanced learning environment. A canteen is provided for the students in order to meet their needs of foods while an auditorium is provided for to cater for event needs. The college also arrange transport facilities for different parts of the nearby areas for the student who travel by their own vehicles.

For the purpose of this study DSCAS has provided a broad menu of academic programs. It offers fourteen undergraduate courses and these are BA English, BBA, BCA, B.Sc Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science etc. At the postgraduate level, the college offers thirteen programs of MBA, MCA and several M.Sc. In addition, DSCAS offers M.Phil programs in six fields and Ph.D. programs in Commerce, Tamil, and Microbiology. The college also provides two program PG Diploma courses. DSCAS offers a total student intake of 2,789 qualifications to produce a desirable student–faculty ratio for learning.

Flexible and merit-based is the process of admission in the DSCAS for all students. No entrance examination is indicated but academic achievement of the student in qualifying examinations probably affects the admissions. Financial aid is well developed in the Institute: 1,342 of 2,035 undergraduate students and 89 of 208 postgraduate students received reimbursements in the 2022 year. This is evidence that the college has an obligation of enhancing the enrollments of more students for education.

DSCAS thinks that they have a balanced students’ strength; a 87% students originate from Tamil Nadu as compared to the 13% students belonging to other states.
