Dhanvantari Ayurveda College Hospital and Research Centre, an affiliated college, was started in the year of 1998 and is situated in Siddapur, Karnataka. This is a co-educational college which focuses in the field of Ayurveda and has a course of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery ( BAMS). Located in a 25-acre land, the college has an aggregated enrolment of 430 and is staffed by 51 well qualified and committed faculty members. The institute is devoted to the cause of training professional in Ayurveda along with serving the global populations’ need for education in forum of Ayurveda which combines the conventional ways of cure with the modern medical science.

Dhanvantari Ayurveda College is Affiliated College of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Dhanvantari Ayurveda College Hospital and Research Centre has numerous amenities that would improve the student’s experience and improve their health standards. There are separate hostels for boys and girls providing comfortable and neat accommodation and hygienic and on time meals. There is also health centre on the campus equipped with all basic necessities to offer first aid services. A large well stacked library which is compliant with CCIM and RGUHS norms holds more than eleven thousand books, daily newspapers and thirty five periodicals and national and international Journals. The physical design of the digital library facility, separate sitting arrangements for boys and girls are perfectly suitable for scholarly endeavors. Dhanvantari Ayurveda College Hospital and Research Centre has only one course which is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). This is a full time courses that takes six years to complete with an approved academic capacity of one hundred students only. The BAMS course helps to equip the student with acceptable knowledge base to practice Ayurveda and assure them of successful practice in the system.

Dhanvantari Ayurveda College Hospital and Research Centre has centralised admission procedure and the admission is done on the basis of merit. Only the students who appeared for the second year of the Pre-University Examination are considered for shortlisting, along with the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) rank, and interview performance. NEET is the only entrance exam that is considered by the institute for admission into BAMS programme.
