Dhemaji Engineering College (DEC), founded in 2020, is a newly founded college at present situated in Dhemaji, Assam. Lying in Tekjuri, Railway Station Road, this affiliated college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in engineering disciplines. DEC, in fact, is a relatively new institution, but it has already made its mark in the region by offering three B.Tech. programmes with a combined capacity of 180 students per year. Some of the amenities that the college has are intended to complement the learning process of students in the college. 

In the context of academic resources, an efficient library lies at the centre, as it provides the student with a different source of information and research works. Dhemaji Engineering College boasts of having departmental laboratories to accord the students the practical session needed in engineering education. Furthermore, the college has ensured that it has the best IT facilities in order to equip the students with modern technological knowledge, a very important area when it comes to learning engineering. The college is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati.

DEA College now runs 3 full-time B.Tech courses, which take four years to complete. These are civil engineering, computer science engineering, and mechanical engineering. Each course has an approved intake of 60 students, which has been embraced by the college to ensure that it offers its students the best class sizes possible.

The admission procedure to get into the Dhemaji Engineering College is rather simple, and it includes a merit list. Admission to any of the B.Tech programmes offered by any of the participating institutions requires the candidate to take the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) that ASTU conducts each year. This common entrance examination provides equal and competitive admission to the college and the desired course since the college can admit qualified and capable students in engineering courses.
