The Divya college of Education, Jammu was established in the year 1998, is a co-educational institution and mainly focus on grooming the future of teaching professionals. This affiliated college is situated in Lower Gadi Garh, Jammu; the college has been training teachers for more than two decades. The campus occupies an area of 2.015 Acres and therefore is suitable for any learning and development activities. At present, there are only ten sixty five students enrolment and nine faculty members who are very much committed to these students to provide a quality education. 

A number of learning facilities to add value to the learning process of the college’s students exist in the college. Surrounding these facilities, is a fully equipped library to support the requirement of students and teachers with books on educational psychology, sociology, teaching techniques and other areas of general interest. The library also has access to the educational journals, magazines and periodical that are essential to the educational institutions, services the student reading hall. To provide tactile activities, the college has continued to provide departmental laboratories whereby the students can practice what they learn.

Divya College of Education currently offers one full-time course, the degree program known as Bachelor of Education. This is a two year programme have aim of taking pre-service teachers through course that would enhanced them with knowledge and skills in teaching. 

From the admission policy set down by Divya College of Education, a degree of merit is awarded based on marks of the qualifying examination as well as the entrance examination. Admission policies of the college are in tuned with the State Government/Union Territory Administration and the affiliated University.
