DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute, Ichalkaranji was established in 1982 with a diploma programme in textiles and subsequently from 1983 several degree programmes commenced. DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral programmes in computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, textile chemistry, textile technology, textile manufactures, business administration, fashion technology, man-made textile technology, textile engineering, etc.

DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering Institute, Ichalkaranji offers admissions to B.Tech programmes based on MHT-CET or JEE Main scores, to M.Tech programmes based on GATE scores and to MBA programmes based on MAH CET or GMAT/CAT/MAT/ATMA/ XAT/CMAT scores. For BE/B.Tech Programmes-

Candidates seeking admission in these programmes have to appear for MHT-CET or JEE Main.

For ME/M.Tech Programmes-

For admission in these programmes, the candidates have to appear for GATE and secure a valid score.

60% seats are for non-sponsored and 20% seats are for sponsored candidates through Centralised Admission Process. The remaining 20% are institute level seats.
