DNM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow is one of the well-known educational institutions, established in 2012. Situated on a sprawling 12-acre campus near Banthara on Kanpur Road, DNMIET has emerged as one of the most remarkable centers for technical education in the city. 

The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow affiliated college, approved by All India Council for Technical Education, offers many programmes in the field of engineering to bring to the fore the future technicians. DNMIET has a total enrolment of students that is 136 in number, with a faculty strength of 50, thus providing the right atmosphere for learning and growth. The diversified courses running across various engineering streams reflect the sincerity of the institute toward the dispensation of quality education.

DNMIET has a host of facilities that would complement the total learning process of the students. The library of this institute is a knowledge hub, housing over 5,000 volumes of books on different streams of engineering, basic sciences, and general topics. It also houses a digital knowledge centre that would help students access e-journals and e-learning material. Equally impressing is the IT infrastructure in the college, with 125 computers running on licensed software, making it an active participant in research in areas such as bio-informatics, computer architecture, and machine learning. The Institute offers a full range of engineering programmes: four-year B. Tech degrees and three-year diploma courses. In the B. Tech streams, the courses include, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Electrical Engineering. DNMIET offers courses in the streams of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering to diploma-level seekers. The course curriculums are so designed as to orient the students in theory as well as in practical skills to assure successful careers.

The admission process is transparent and fully based on merit at DNMIET. The admissions in the B.Tech programmes are done on a merit basis directly in terms of rank in UPSEE conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The Institute also gives its own counseling and Entrance Examination for the management quota seats, considering both the AKTU rank and the merit in qualifying examinations. The main entrance to the diploma courses is through the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh. However, it also gives admission opportunities to those candidates who appeared in JEECUP but didn't qualify and also those who have secured at least 35% marks in their High School Examination. DNMIET accepts Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test in the case of B.Pharma, thus further enlarging its basket of accepted entrance examinations.
