Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Jammu, Dogra College of Education is a well established institute in the field of education which was started in 1994. This college is Co-educational affiliated and the college aims at providing quality education hence has been accredited by the National assessment and accreditation council (NAAC). Located on a small piece of land of one acre this college is at present, endowed with total enrolment capacity of 239 students and a faculty of only 13 teachers.

The Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana has a variety of facilities with aim of improving the learning process as well as the general development of the learners. In terms of facilities, the library provides a complete kit locker of books, references and other documents together with internet facilities. Inasmuch as practical activities are concerned the college has well-equipped laboratories, an Education Technology lab among them. It has uděl’s interest on its students’ welfare in allowing two different hostels for boys and girls respectively and comfortable accommodation.

Dogra College of Education started with the main objective of offering good teacher education through full time B Ed programme. From this, it is clear that the institution has a policy of preserving a small student/faculty ratio so as to increase class attention and quality of teaching to all the students in the institution.

Choosing of students at Dogra College of Education is by and through the use of admission list, which is determined by marks scored in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. As with all affiliations, this college is bound by the admission policies as prescribed by the State Government/UT administration and the affiliated university.
