Dr BR Ambedkar Government College, Kaithal Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library is spread over an area of 2400 sq ft. The library is located in the center of the college building on the first floor. There are 7395 books, 02 journals, and 15 magazines. During the last five years, 3199 books were bought. The collection of books includes documents covering a wide range of subjects from English literature, pure sciences, social sciences, languages, etc. The library is automated and has a spacious reading hall and reference section with 06 air conditioners. The reading area can accommodate 100 users at any point in time. The library is automated with integrated library management software, SOUL 2.0 (Software for University Libraries). The various housekeeping activities of the library, such as data entry, issue and return, and renewal of books, member logins, etc, are done through the software. The students are given unique barcode IDs. To enhance security, closed-circuit cameras have been installed. Fire safety units are also available.

The college has set standards and procedures for the maintenance and utilization of physical, academic, and support facilities. The college is equipped with 02 labs each in Mass Communication, Chemistry, and Physics, 04 computer Labs, 01 lab each for Tourism, 01 Botany Lab, 01 Zoology Lab, and 01 Language Lab. The labs are available to the enrolled students of the college and are related to the respective subjects. The students are charged as per the University's instructions for the laboratory funds. In addition to that college got an Augmentation of Laboratory grant every year from the Higher Education Department, Haryana,to maintain laboratories and other facilities for the students.

The College has sufficient facilities for outdoor sports, along with two open playgrounds.  Students of Sports participated in State and national-level activities and won awards.  The institution has a spacious green area and a proper playground for Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, and Football. The students take part in the inter-college competition in games organized by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. The college organizes a sports day every year, and students participate in athletic games and get prizes.
