About Dr DY Patil College of Pharmacy, Pune
DY Patil College of Pharmacy Pune is one of the most prominent institutions of Pune, specialising in education related to pharmacy in different specialisations. This college was established in the year 1999 and was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) with a recognition from the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. The college was also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college deals in diploma, undergraduate postgraduate, and doctoral pharmacy programmes in various specialisations including Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacognosy.
The college provides full-time courses such as BPharm, DPharm and MPharm with various specialisations and Pharm.D. Since the college is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, the admissions to these programmes are based on entrance exams like MHT-CET for the undergraduate BPharm programme and MHT CET/GPAT for the postgraduate MPharm programme.
Dr DY Patil College of Pharmacy has a separate department which is named as Placements department, this department is responsible for placements and pre-placement training. So far in the year 2023 - 2024, as per NIRF 2025 report, the cell has helped 81 students out of 113 eligible candidates. The median salary offered was Rs 3.8 LPA for postgraduate students and Rs 3.6 LPA for undergraduate students.
