Namakkal-based Dr Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College and Research Centre was set up in the year 2000. This is a coeducational college which is recognised by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) and acts as a postgraduate-level college offering specialised homoeopathic medical education. Spread over 7.67 acres of land, the college has the strength of 367 students, including 213 boys, 154 girls and a faculty of 36 well-qualified and experienced faculty members.

Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College and Research Centre boast of providing the best facilities to improve the teaching and learning capabilities of college students. Established as an academic information centre, the library stocks 3,675 medical books and offers its students 21 journals to enrich their knowledge. The library, which is in its early stage of development, can hold up to 100 students at any one time. There are two reading sections for the male and female students and a staff reading section that has a computer section and internet facilities. The college also has well-equipped laboratories for each department to provide practical sessions for the students.

Dr Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College and Research Centre offer only one course, and that is a Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). This is a full course programme that takes six years and takes only one hundred students per year. The curriculum is developed to establish sound knowledge and professional skills in homoeopathy to cover gross professional educational standards and to bring homoeopathy professionals competent enough to serve society systematically.
