The institute was established in the year 1990 as a premier institution for imparting education in the field of Pharmacy at Dr. K.N. Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Modinagar. This affiliated college is located in Uttar Pradesh. The campus of the affiliated college is situated over an area of 10.21 acres. It is an AICTE and PCI-approved NAAC-accredited institute that offers 5 courses in 4 degree programs. The institute admitted 405 students with a faculty number of 34, and it has a large percentage of 77% male and 23% female students. The institute specialises in pharmaceutical sciences with degree programs in both undergraduate and postgraduate.

Dr. K.N. Modi Institute offers a whole bunch of pharmaceutical courses. The institute offers 5 full-time courses, comprising undergraduate and postgraduate programs in totality. The total approved intake for all courses is of 150 students annually. Courses include D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and B.Sc in Biotechnology. The candidate must be a graduate and have passed the entrance test, which is conducted by Dr. APJ AKTU, preferably with a valid GPAT score. For B.Sc Biotechnology: Admission is based on merit as declared by Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, considering the aggregate marks of 10+2 (PCB/M).  Financial support is given, where 25% of UG students and 10% of PG students receive financial support. The students are exposed to the relevant industries and also provided with placement opportunities to secure their career in the pharmaceutical sector.
