The college was established in 1986. Dr. TTIT, Kolar is a private college affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The college offers only undergraduate courses for the students. Dr. TTIT, Kolar UG courses include BE Computer Science and Engineering, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering, BE Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, BE Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BE Mechanical Engineering, BE Civil Engineering, BE Mining Engineering. All the courses are offered in full time mode only. Dr. TTIT, Kolar UG admissions are offered to candidates who must  have passed the HSC (10+2) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with the following subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% marks also valid score in KCET examination.
