Dwarika Sangamnerkar Medical Foundation School of Nursing, Pune is a stand alone institute of nursing education which was started in the year 2003. This institution is situated at 50/51, LB Shastri Road, near Dandekar Bridge in Navi Peth, Pune and has been directing the young generation of nurses for almost two decades. The school has two Qualified Nursing Programs that have been accredited by INC. As mentioned it is a small institute with fee structure of total student enrolment of 85 and faculty strength of 1.

Dwarika Sangamnerkar Medical Foundation School of Nursing has very many facilities in this school that aims at improving the learning standards among students. A vast stock of literature in a library is a source of knowledge for students and necessities for their nursing profession. The college also has departmental based laboratories which are strategic in training on various nursing processes. For overall development, namely sports facilities are available and thus every student can play to become fit and can also practice team spirit. There’s an auditorium on the campus that holds one event or another as well as seminars, contributing to the creation of an academic environment.

This simply means that the institute has embraced modern education system as is evidenced by its good Information Technology infrastructure. Due to the needs of the teaching faculties and students, guest room amenities are available. Catering for the needs of the students, the college provides and supports a health centre with first aid equipment which guarantees necessary medical treatment in case of emergency.

Dwarika Sangamnerkar Medical Foundation School of Nursing today offers two courses to meet the various levels of nursing intake. ANM training facility – II-year Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) and GNM training facility – three years General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). Each course has an approved quota of 20 students for admission and that makes it possible for 40 admission more enrolments be offered per annum.
