The admission to Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences is based on national-level entrance examinations. For the MBBS course, admission occurs according to NEET-UG. Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences, popularly called FIMS, is well reputed as a prestigious medical institution in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Enrollment processes are framed at FIMS to enroll the best-selected and deserving candidates into any of her academic programmes in medicine.
Admission procedures at Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences are strictly instituted based on corresponding national-level entrance tests to ensure a fair and competitive selection process. Undergraduate admissions at FIMS are based entirely on NEET-UG scores. This has been the norm in the country since the order of the Supreme Court of India in the NEET case stating that Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences admissions for undergraduate medical courses should be based on one merit list of NEET-UG. As such, NEET-UG is held once a year, with applications opening in February and the exam in May.
This includes results being announced in June or July. For postgraduate programmes (MD/MS), Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences admissions are to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET-PG). NEET-PG is conducted annually, and counseling proceeds into February of the following year. For eligibility to MBBS admission, the applicant must have completed a 10+2 degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as major subjects along with English. He/She must also attain 50% marks in above major subjects (40% for SC/ST/OBC) and qualify for entrance through NEET-UG. Candidates for postgraduate programmes were required to have obtained their MBBS degree from a recognised institution and qualified in the NEET-PG exam.

Eligibility for NEET:
