The Film Institute of eMITS, Lucknow, was started in 2004 and is one of the premier institutes rendering education in media, film, and communications. Siddhartha Institute of Technology and Sciences for Girls is a co-educational institute in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, and the facility provides various courses for media professionals. Created as a centralised repository, this library has more than 37030 books under 2250 titles supported by an RFID system. In terms of practical training, the institute has a well-equipped chemical and physics laboratory and a computer laboratory with the provisions of hands-on practice on the keyboard by executing the theories learned. These include LCD projectors, OHPs, and sound systems for teaching aids in all classrooms to allow for interactive student-centred learning. There is also the grasp of an auditorium for event occasions and seminars that the students can use to display their talents in acting and meet the professionals in the field. The college is affiliated to Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal.
The institute offers six full-time courses, out of which three are undergraduate and the other three are postgraduate courses. At the undergraduate level, the courses offered include a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media, or a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). For postgraduate studies, the institute provides Masters of Arts in Mass Communication, Broadcast Journalism, Advertising, and Public Relations. The total number of approved enrolment for these courses is 198 only, which offers a wide chance for the candidates to establish themselves as media professional.
