The Gandhi Natha Rangaji Homoeopathic Medical College is a leading centre of learning, established in 1989 in Solapur, Maharashtra. This college is affiliated with the MUHS Nashik and occupies only 2 acres, but it moulds 49 students at a time. The institute has a faculty strength of 26 dedicated professionals, who ensure a very impressive student-to-faculty ratio in the institution, thus quality education and personalised attention.
Gandhi Natha Rangaji Homoeopathic Medical College is committed to providing all necessary facilities to enrich the learning environment of the students. A well-equipped library serves as the knowledge hub, housing many resources in homoeopathic medicine and allied fields. In correspondence to each department of the college, laboratories have been established, each being crucial to a practical base in training and hands-on experience for homoeopathic studies. Additionally, the college has a full-fledged health centre with first aid to ensure the health of the students as well as the staff members. All these then generally create a better environment for academic betterment and practical skill development in homoeopathy.
The college runs only one full-time course, which is the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery. This programme is developed for a period of six years to give proficiency to the fullest extent to the students regarding all the necessary knowledge, skills, and aptitudes that are directly applicable in the practice of homoeopathic medicine. The institute is given permission for 50 students in a year for admission to the BHMS programme, so the college is also restricted to this number of students in this course. This focused approach accorded by the institute helps it maintain and deliver good education quality, hence ensuring personal attention to every student throughout the degree session.
The entry ticket to Gandhi Natha Rangaji Homoeopathic Medical College is governed mainly through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, popularly known as NEET. Each aspirant student interested in seeking admission to the BHMS course must take the national level examination. The College follows the admission schedule provided by the competent authorities, and admissions are generally done once a year.
