Giridih College was set up in 1955 and is one of the recognised institution situated in Giridih, Jharkhand. This constituent co- educational college is located in a large campus of 30 acres promoting the environment of learning. Total student strength of the college is 6,341 and the faculty members are 13 and thus offers wide and comprehensive courses. It has the reputation of being an educational college as it was accredited with NAAC together with other institutions of higher learning. It also receives accreditation from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in all its teacher education courses.
The college has several facilities that seek to complement the experiences of the college students. This essential learning resource centre currently has a stock of 36404 books, which meet the needs of students in all fields of study. Giridih College also has arrangements for the accommodation of students and they can also admit boys and girls separately in hostels. The campus is provided with well equipped laboratory for practical sessions and even for experimenting. An auditorium is used in the College for organising events, seminars, and cultural activities contributing to the rich college life. The college also values the health of the students with a school clinic to attend to emergency first aid and simple health checks. To fans of sport, it will be useful to visit a college that offers excellent sport facilities and develop physical fitness and spirit of teamwork. College Infrastructure
Old campus with a solid central library and computer labs but the older facilities lack modern amenities like campus-wide Wi-Fi, a proper canteen or medical rooms. Offers good cultural events and participation.

It is good but could be better The area is large but it has not been utilized properly. By utilizing it well, the campus can be made very good, due to which children will also be attracted and will like to come to college.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the college is good there are 4 buildings and it has 30 rooms in all the buildings all the buildings has two floors and big rooms . I like the infrastructure. Laboratories for every science subject is also good.
