Gobindapur Academic Primary Teacher’s Training Institute, Murshidabad, West Bengal, is an independent institution set up with the aim of preparing future educators. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute provides two professional teacher-education programmes. The college is affiliated with Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University, Kolkata. The institute offers the exclusive student enrolment of 413 with the faculty that consists of 12 instructors to give the right training to prospective teachers.

The Gobindapur Academic Primary Teacher’s Training Institute has distinguished facilities that facilitate effectiveness and development of the course for the learners. The B.Ed programme has been granted permission to enrol up to 100 candidates, and the D.El.Ed programme also has fifty seats of admission. Both of them take two years to complete,offering full courses to prepare their students to become professional teachers. 

The admission policy of Gobindapur Academic Primary Teacher’s Training Institute requires academic qualification with marks scored in a qualifying and/orentrance test to be considered. The institute has particular policies on admission policies that are formulated by the state government of West Bengal and the respective university affiliated to it. The further selection criteria for admission to the B.Ed programme may require additional criteria in line with the state government or the university standard. Likewise, the admission in D.El.Ed is strictly merit-based; besides,the state may conduct an entrance test or any other exams for selection etc.
