Gomati District Polytechnic, Udaipur, Gomati, Tripura was established in the year 2013 under Self Finance Scheme and it is an affiliated college. This technical institution, recognized by the all India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), awards diplomas in engineering disciplines. Located on 28 acres of land, the polytechnic offers a seats for 432 students, and has a team of 10 well-experienced faculties. 

The Gomati District Polytechnic boasts of providing student with a number of elevated avenues to support their learning ability. The central library is the information center providing various needs for teaching-learning of the institute. In this regard the polytechnic boasts of well equipped laboratory with modern equipment and computer systems. The IT infrastructure is strong by having high configuration PCs and effective application software with internet facilities. Another advantage is that, students can be able to have balanced diet from a canteen which is found within the school compound. Further, it still closely engages with alumni trainees to help link current students with the graduates.

Currently it has three three-year full time diploma courses for which admission is granted to the students. There are three full time diploma courses intake are offered by Gomati District Polytechnic.
