Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Guwahati, is located in Guwahati which is established in 1948 and imparting education and health care through Ayurveda. This affiliated college is situated in Sundhabi, Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam The college is approved by CCIM (Central Council for Indian Medicine). The institute has number of programmes in Ayurvedic medicine and it has 3 degree in 7 courses offered by the it. The college has a strength of forty three teachers and offers quality educating at both the undergraduate and postgraduation grades. The following are the courses offered by our institution: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, MD and MS in different fields of Ayurveda such as MS Shalya Tantra etc. The college has many resources to facilitate learning and development of the students, as well as their general welfare. 

A separate two-storeyed newly built library started in 2008 containing books, journals, and theses of both Ayurveda and modern medicinal system. Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital has separate departmental laboratories to ensure the students have practical experience of what they are taught. Extra curriculum activities includes; The institution has sports facilities and a gym. The campus also includes an auditorium for receiving other activities and seminars, as well as for canteen for students and workers. For instance, the college has hostels for male and female students to enhance this cause because the college makes it mandatory for students who live in the hostels to pay for their accommodation. 

The total number of courses offered by Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Guwahati is total 7 in number which includes both UG and PG courses.
