Government Badri Prasad College of Arts Commerce and Science, Raipur Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

This college has grown into a premier institution and offers a plethora of bachelor's program, master's program and even diploma courses in the Arts, Commerce and Science streams. This college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Admission is easy and quite open for different types of educational needs to students in this region. Post-10+2 announcement results, when the process for admissions for undergraduate courses starts, postgraduate courses begin after the announcement of graduation results. 

Such undergraduate courses as BA, B.Com, and B.Sc. accept applications from students who have successfully completed 10+2 as a recognized board.  For MA, M.Com and M.Sc., candidates should carry out their respective bachelor's degrees realized any recognized university. Apart from this, admission is also provided to the diploma courses of Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA-80 seats) and Diploma in Computer Application (DCA-70 seats) for students interested in the area of computer applications.

Application Process

1. The announcement of Admissions: Various modes of communication were there used by the college for announcing the commencement of the admission process: their official website.

2. Application Form: Application forms can be secured either directly from the college campus or downloaded from the official website.

3. Filling Application: Proper filling of the form according to personal and academic details.

4. Document Submission: Candidates also need to attach with the duly filled application an attested copy of the following documents:

• Marks sheets of all qualifying examinations (10+2 for UG courses, Bachelor's degree for PG courses)
• Pass certificate of qualifying examinations
• Character certificate from the last- attended institution
• Transfer certificate
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• Caste certificate (for reserved category students)
• Recent passport-size photographs.

5. Application Submission: All completed application forms along with all requisite documents will be submitted at the admission office of the college.

6. Merit List Preparation: The college prepares merit lists for each course according to qualifying examination marks.

7. Merit List Publication: Merit list is published by the college on the notice board and also on the website.

8. Counseling and Allocation of Seats: Selected candidates are called for sessions concerning the counseling for allocating seats on merit basis but subject to availability.

9. Payment of Fees: Selected Candidates Shall have to pay fees within the stipulated time period for Admission Confirmation.

10. Document Verification: Original documents are to be verified during admission.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA: Government Badri Prasad College offers the Bachelor of Arts program, which attracts an intake of 400. It is admission based on the 10+2 examination marks obtained. Different streams may apply for the program.

B.Com: In the Bachelor of Commerce program, the college has 170 on offer. Students are required to pass 10+2 with commerce subjects/equivalent examination from a recognized board.

B.Sc. : This college has not mentioned the B.Sc. program, but admissions are awarded based on the 10+2 score in science subjects.

MA: Political Science (60 seats), Hindi (50 seats), and Economics (50 seats) are the different subjects offered for MA from the college. A candidate must have a bachelor's degree in the pertinent subject or allied subject.

M.Com: The seats for Master of Commerce program are 50, and applicants should have a B.Com or an equivalent degree from a recognized university. 

M.Sc: For the MSc program offered by the college, there are 50 and 25 seats available for Zoology and Mathematics, respectively. Holders of B.Sc. degrees in the relevant subjects are eligible.

PGDCA and DCA: For these self-financed diploma courses, graduation is necessary for PGDCA admission, whereas DCA admission requires plus two (10+2) from any recognized institution. The total number of seats available for these courses is 80 and 70 respectively.
