Government College of Engineering, Yavatmal, is an institution which has emerged very recently in 2018. It has become significantly important in technical education within a short period of time. It is an affiliated college based in Yavatmal, Maharashtra, stretching over 40.19 acres. and has 244 students. It is AICTE approved with all standards of engineering education as well as the nation, faithfully followed. It possesses about 18 dedicated educators for a conducive student-to-faculty ratio that provides friendly learning conditions.
The college has a different range of facilities to enable the student experience. The library, often termed as heart and soul of the institute, accommodates the collections in a separate 285 sq.m. building. It provides an enormous collection of more than 35,000 books besides national and international journals and magazines that equip the students to gather lots of knowledge at their doorsteps. For students who require accommodation, GCOEY provides boys and girls hostels. Boys' hostel occupies a floor area of 4,552 sq.m with 180 students capacity, while the girls' hostel has a built-up area of 1,036 sq.m and has a capacity for accommodating 54 students. Mess halls, reading rooms, and 24-hour security are provided in the hostels.
Currently, GCOEY offers five B.Tech programmes, namely Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. All these courses are full-time, four year programs, each with an approved intake of 60 students.
